This is the readiness of the Yonif Raider 408/SBH Soldiers before being assigned to Papua Ahmad Antoni


PAPUADAILY –A total of 450 Raider 408/SBH soldiers have completed pre-duty training for 14 days. Furthermore, they will be assigned for 9 months to support the success of the task of border security operations in the Papua region.

Kasdam IV/Diponegoro Brigadier General Widi Prasetijono representing the Commander of the Diponegoro IV Military Command Major General Rudianto conducted an inspection of the readiness of the RI-PNG Border Guard (Mobile) security operation Yonif R 408/SBH FY 2021 at Mako Yonif R 408/SBH Field, Friday (2/7/ 2021).

The task of Pamtas (Mobile) is one of the tasks of the Indonesian Army in Military Operations Other than War (OMSP), as stated in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 34 of 2004 concerning the TNI.

Kasdam IV/Diponegoro who read out the mandate of Pangdam IV/Diponegoro said that the operational readiness check was aimed at knowing the extent of the capability and readiness of the Infantry Battalion R 408/SBH unit, starting from the individual level, team, to units within the Battalion relationship.

It is expected that the task can be carried out professionally, proportionally and responsibly. “Immediately carry out the orientation of the assignment area, study the characteristics of the terrain, the situation and conditions of the local area, so that if unwanted things occur related to the conduciveness of the assignment area, especially in the aspect of community security, they can be immediately addressed by taking appropriate action,” said Kasdam.

It is emphasized to the leadership elements to carry out command and control optimally, effectively and efficiently so that at any time the unit is ready to be mobilized. In addition, all soldiers must guide and apply the results of pre-duty training as a provision for carrying out their duties in the area of ​​operation.

“Understand and control the terrain, as well as the prevailing situation in the area of ​​operation from possible threats, in order to minimize personnel and material losses. Always surrender to God Almighty, take care of your health and keep implementing health protocols in every activity,” he said.
