Residents in Sorong City are Now Aware of the Importance of Covid-19 Vaccination


PAPUADAILY –Now many people are starting to realize the importance of vaccination for the prevention of Covid-19 because the use of vaccines is also needed on trips to and from Sorong City. The Indonesian Navy will continue to raise funds and provide education to the public about the vaccinations given are halal and safe.

This was conveyed by the Chief of Staff of the 3rd Koarmada, Admiral TNI Yeheskiel Katiandagho in a written statement on Wednesday (21/7/2021).

According to him, this can be seen from the enthusiasm of Sorong residents who want to be vaccinated.

On July 18, 2021, written information from Dispen Kormar stated that the Indonesian Navy held a vaccination raid for the maritime community at the Port of Sorong City, West Papua. This vaccination is to accelerate the prevention of Covid-19.

Present at the vaccination raid, Deputy Commander of the Marines (Pasmar) 3 Colonel Mar Agung Trisnanto who came to accompany the Chief of Staff of the Third Coordination Command, Admiral TNI Yeheskiel Katiandagho.

The vaccination raid activity at the Port of Sorong City, West Papua was carried out while still implementing health protocols. People who are vaccinated are required to wear masks, wash their hands with hand sanitizer and keep a distance.

“In accordance with the government’s recommendations, vaccination raids have been continuously launched by the Indonesian Navy for the eastern region, which includes Koarmada III, Main Base of the Indonesian Navy (Lantamal) XIV and Pasmar 3 in order to prevent and suppress the spread of Covid-19, especially in the Sorong City area. ,” said the Deputy Commander of Pasmar 3, Colonel Mar Agung Trisnanto.
