Religious Leaders in Papua Receive Oxygen Cylinder Aid from the TNI Commander


PAPUADAILY –The head of the Papuan Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) Pastor Lipiyus Biniluk, representing the Papuan people, received oxygen cylinders and other medical equipment from the TNI Commander, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, at the base ops of Silas Papare Air Force Base, Jayapura, Thursday (22/7/2021).

“I represent the Interfaith Leaders of Papua Province, who came to receive the assistance of the TNI commander, we welcome them,” said Lipiyus Biniluk.

Lipiyus expressed his hope that in the future, the TNI Commander can provide additional oxygen assistance, masks and concentrators.

Lipiyus also appealed to all people in Papua to always unite in the struggle of prayer.

So that Indonesia, especially the land of Papua can be free from the Covid-19 pandemic. Likewise the economic recovery of the community.

Lipiyus highlighted changes in people’s behavior, since the Covid-19 pandemic took place. “We are getting further and further away from each other, we don’t want to be close, even now shaking hands is something that is avoided,” he said.

For information, as a manifestation of the TNI Commander’s concern for the Papuan people, medical equipment assistance for a number of hospitals in Papua arrived on Thursday (22/7/2021).

A total of 50 canisters containing oxygen, 50 concentrators, 1,000 PPE and 150,000 masks, arrived at the base ops of Silas Papare Air Base, at 11.00 WIT using the A1335 series Hercules aircraft. ***c
