PAPUADAILY –Commander of the XVII/Cenderawasih Military Command Major General Ignatius Yogo Triyono, represented by the XVII/Cenderawasih Military Regional Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Bambang Trisnohadi, handed over the sacrificial cow to the management of the Al-Fajr Mosque at Makodam XVII/Cenderawasih Jayapura, Tuesday (20/7) /2021).
Pangdam XVII/Cenderawasih also conveyed congratulations on celebrating Eid al-Adha 1442 H/2021 AD to all residents of Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih who are Muslims, through a written message read by Kasdam Brigadier General Bambang Trisnohadi.
Meanwhile, Kasdam XVII/Cenderawasih said, Eid al-Adha is a big day for Muslims and there are various lessons that can be imitated and guided.
It is mentioned that there are various lessons that we can emulate and guide, therefore I invite Muslims to make the wisdom of Eid al-Adha a momentum to increase piety and faith in God Almighty by carrying out all his commands, staying away from prohibitions and caring for others.
“And the spirit of sincere sacrifice in order to support the Government in handling the COVID-19 pandemic, which until now has not ended,” explained Kasdam XVII/Cenderawasih.
This is also in line with the theme of this year’s Eid al-Adha, according to Kasdam, which is Make the Wisdom of Eid al-Adha 1442 H / 2021 M as a momentum to increase piety and the spirit of sacrifice during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kasdam hopes that Eid al-Adha 1442 H / 2021 AD can increase gratitude and as a form of concern for sharing happiness in celebrating Muslim holidays.
“I hope that on this Eid al-Adha, we can improve relations, kinship, togetherness between leaders, members and the extended family of Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih,” hoped Brigadier General Bambang Trisnohadi.
On that occasion, Head of the Military Regional Mental Development Service (Kabintaldam) XVII/Cenderawasih Colonel Arh Antonius Andre Wira said, on Eid al-Adha in 2021 Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih held a total 10 cows, include sacrificial cow from Pangdam XVII/Cenderawasih and three goats for slaughter and distributed to orphanages and communities who are entitled to receive them as well as the extended family of Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih.***
