PAPUADAILY –The Rimbun Air PK OTW plane, which crashed was found in pieces, Wednesday (15/9/2021). The location of the crash of the charter plane is the headquarters of the terrorist group Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Zakius in Intan Jaya Regency, Papua.
It is suspected that the cargo plane crashed into a mountain, having previously failed to land due to thick fog. Then, the plane tried to climb to the left of the airport.

Wadanyon Mechanical Infantry Yonif 521/DY of the Intan Jaya Post, Pamrahwan Task Force 521/DY Mechanical Infantry Yonif Major Inf. Edi Dipramono said the coordinates of the crash of the Rimbun Air plane were found by a chartered helicopter of the Eagle Task Force.

Plane Crash Chronology
For information, on Wednesday (15/9/2021) at around 07.37 WIT, information was obtained about the loss of contact with the Rimbun Air Pk OTW aircraft in Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency from Nabire Regency.
At around 06.40 WIT, the plane took off from Nabire Regency to Intan Jaya Regency carrying cargo in the form of building materials.
At 07.30 WIT, Airnav Sugapa made the last communication with the pilot before losing contact. Until now there has been no contact from the PK OTW Rimbun Airplane. The identity of the flight crew includes HA. Mirza (Pilot), Fajar (Copilot) and Iswahyudi (Engineering).
Based on the information gathered, Airnav Sugapa made the last communication with the pilot before losing contact at around 07.30 WIB.

He explained that based on observations from the helicopter, the plane was on fire and was in a state of destruction. Currently, the Joint SAR Team has headed to the scene of the discovery of Rimbun Air.

The search process had problems due to limited helicopter fuel.

Been looking by helicopter for 30 minutes, but can’t find it. The helicopter then landed at Sugapa Airport and is now returning to Enarotali, because fuel is limited,” said Edi.
It is known, the plane was manned by three people including Hj. Mirza (Pilot), Fajar (Copilot) and Iswahyudi (Engineering).
It is estimated that the contact of the Rimbun Air plane was lost in the west direction of Bilorai Airport, Intan Jaya. It was confirmed that the ill-fated plane was not carrying passengers.***
