‘House Renovation’ Prize for Always Giving Drain Hamonangan

PAPUADAILY –The Indonesian Navy (AL) gave a “house renovation” prize for the parking attendant’s son, Always Giving Hamonangan Tiris, who won the Adhi Makayasa award 2021.

The soldiers dissect his parents’ house in Jayapura Selatan District, Jayapura, Papua, Thursday (8/7/2021).

The Commander of the X/Jayapura Navy Base, Marine Colonel Fryanto P Marpaung said that the house renovation was a form of concern for the Indonesian Navy for the achievements of the best Papuan son.  Although from a very simple family, he was able to become the best graduate of the Naval Academy (AAL) by achieving Adhi Makayasa.

“As a form of concern and appreciation for the Navy, in this case the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Admiral Yudo Margono, through the ranks in Jayapura, we carried out the renovation of Tiris’ house which was located in Kalam Kudus, South Jayapura District,” he said.

He said that Always’s achievements are also expected to motivate other Papuan sons and daughters.

The Chief of Staff of the Navy, Admiral TNI Yudo Margono said, “Through the ranks in Jayapura, we carried out the renovation of Tiris’ house which was located in Kalam Kudus, South Jayapura District”.
He hopes that Always’s achievements are also expected to motivate other Papuan sons and daughters. “This is also a motivation for native Papuan sons and daughters so that they have the desire to join the Navy,” said Colonel Fryanto P Marpaung.

Always Giving Hamonangan Tiris is the third of five children of married couple Alex Tiris and Darmawty Panjaitan.  At the close of the 66th batch of TNI AL Academy education, KSAL Admiral TNI Yudo Margono was named the best graduate of the 66th AAL in 2021 and received the ‘prestigious’ Adi Makayasa award.

The Navy also appreciates Tiris, who works as a parking attendant at a bank in Jayapura.  He was able to make one of his sons the best graduate as Adhi Makayasa in the 66/2021 AAL batch.
