PAPUADAILY –Welcoming the 41st anniversary of PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) which will fall on November 12, 2021, this construction BUMN (State-Owned Enterprises) continues to carry out social actions and share goodness. One of them, they collaborated with the Task Force Infantry Yonif Para Rider 328 to present the ‘smile of the Papuan people’ to provide clothing assistance.
This assistance was handed over through the Infantry Yonif 328/Dirgahayu, received directly by Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Vicky Heru Hansanto – Para Raider Danyon 328/Dirgahayu accompanied by Infantry Lt. Rizal Yudha Prakoso, in Cilodong, Depok.
“By cooperating with Infantry Yonif Para Rider 328, hopefully the donation of 500 clothes for the people of Intan Jaya, Papua from Brantas Abipraya can add to the joy of the people there. Seeing the social conditions in the border area which is far from urban life, this activity is also expected to increase welfare , also fosters a sense of love for the Republic of Indonesia,” said Miftakhul Anas as Corporate Secretary of Brantas Abipraya. Anas added that this social action is one proof of the implementation of the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, specifically on the Social Development Pillar. The form of Brantas Abipraya’s concern for the lack of clothing needed by the community at the border has also been carried out before.
Strengthening its position as a construction BUMN that is always there for Indonesia, in this case its presence for the Papuan people, in 2018 Brantas Abipraya contributed to improving the education of Indonesian children by distributing 500 school bags and 500 copies of state defense knowledge books and history books.
In the same year, Brantas Abipraya along with six other SOEs disbursed assistance to support school facilities, namely the renovation of 22 bathroom units in schools in Jayapura.
Not only in Papua, the seriousness in supporting the Government’s program through the TJSL (Social and Environmental Responsibility) program, was shown by Brantas Abipraya by winning the Best TJSL Award 2021, in the Infrastructure category. This award was held by Warta Ekonomi virtually in Jakarta
“Through the TJSL Abipraya program, we are always committed to participating in running the wheels of the Indonesian economy, especially when our nation is hit by the Covid-19 outbreak. In implementing the TJLS program, we focus on encouraging social, economic, environmental, legal and governance development which are the pillars of from the goal of sustainable development,” added Anas.
In addition to distributing aid to the community to meet their basic needs, Anas also said that one of the other TJSL Brantas Abipraya programs was providing working capital to foster partners and distributing CSR.
Until now, there are 43 fostered partners that Brantas Abipraya has fostered with various specifications in the field of work. Not only that offering soft loans, Brantas Abipraya also provides training to improve the competence of the fostered partners.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, this BUMN which is actively involved in building the national strategic project (PSN) has several other excellent programs that are in line with the 4 pillars of the TJLS, namely the pillars of economic development, the pillars of social development, the pillars of environmental development and the pillars of legal and governance development.
In the social sector, Brantas Abipraya has a professional certification program. This is a pioneering and excellent program that directly receives support from the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).
This state-owned company, which is known to be reliable in the construction of dams, has also shown its presence for Indonesia during this pandemic by supporting the Government in handling the pandemic.
Various activities were carried out such as distributing basic necessities to the community around the Head Office and all projects spread across Indonesia, providing free vaccines for the people of the Cipinang Cempedak sub-district, Jakarta and actively participating in driving the community’s economy during the pandemic. Brantas Abipraya is also running the Foster Parents program. By involving Abipraya Personnel as parents for underprivileged Indonesian children.
In the environmental development pillar, Brantas Abipraya contributes to providing clean water facilities in Sukabumi by synergizing with several state-owned companies. In addition, since 2018 Brantas Abipraya has planted 12,500 sengon tree seedlings and is currently managing it in partnership with local residents in Legok Banteng Village, Cijayanti Village, Bogor. In 2020, this BUMN also planted thousands of trees in the PLTM Padang Guci area, Bengkulu.

This is a proof of commitment as a BUMN that does not only focus on developing Indonesia through infrastructure works but also by contributing to the welfare of others. This CSR activity is a means to bring Brantas Abipraya closer to the people who live in it. around.
